Day 1
Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Arusha
Pre-dawn hotel pickup in Arusha and roughly a two-hour drive south across the Maasai steppe to the park gate. Game drives through baobab country and along the Tarangire River, where the operator says dry-season elephant numbers can run into the hundreds, with lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and over 500 recorded bird species also on the list. Picnic lunch inside the park, more game driving in the afternoon, then the drive back to Arusha for an early-evening arrival.
