Day 1
Arrival in Arusha
Transfer to the hotel and a safari briefing, with the rest of the day free. Overnight at Planet Lodge or similar in Arusha.

Day 2
Arusha - Lake Manyara
An 8:30 am departure to Lake Manyara, known for its tree-climbing lions, elephant herds and birdlife, with the Rift Valley escarpment and underground water streams as the setting. Picnic lunch, afternoon game drive, then Marera Valley Lodge or similar near Karatu.

Day 3
Lake Manyara - Serengeti Adventure
Towards the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a village visit en route for the traditional songs and dances and conversation with warriors. En-route game drive on the plains, arriving at Tanzania Bush Camps or similar in the Serengeti in the afternoon.

Day 4
Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Early morning drive before the heat, bush breakfast in the wilderness, then game driving with the Great Wildebeest Migration the focus if it is in the area. Second night in the Serengeti.

Day 5
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
En-route game drive on the way to the Ngorongoro Crater, then the descent for a Big Five game drive and a picnic lunch at the hippo pond. On to Endoro Lodge near the Ngorongoro gate, or similar near Karatu.

Day 6
Tarangire National Park
Game drive in Tarangire for the elephant herds and baobabs, with lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra and a wide bird list. Picnic lunch at one of the park sites. Overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Camp or similar near the park.

Day 7
Tarangire - Arusha
The drive back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. Breakfast and lunch included.
