Day 1
Arrival day, airport pick-up
Met by the driver guide and staff and driven to Planet Lodge in Arusha for a safari briefing and a restful night. Breakfast included.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Collected from the Arusha hotel at 08:30 with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive in Tarangire, Tanzania's third largest park, known for its baobabs and for some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, with lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. Lunch and dinner included. Accommodation Mvuli Hotel, Karatu.

Day 3
Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, out across the plains to the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive looking for the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle herds and the resident lion prides, with a picnic lunch taken during the drive. Full board. Accommodation Serengeti Safari Lodge.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park
A full day game drive from 08:00 exploring the central Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park thanks to the Seronera River. Outside the migration season the area's lion prides carry the game viewing. Picnic lunch, finishing around 17:00. Full board. Accommodation Serengeti Safari Lodge.

Day 5
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area including the crater
A morning game drive in the Serengeti, then on to the Ngorongoro crater rim with a picnic lunch. The crater is ringed by extinct volcanoes and its floor, dotted with waterholes, holds some 30,000 animals. Full board. Accommodation Mvuli Hotel.

Day 6
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Away at 08:00 for a half day game drive at Lake Manyara from around 09:00, through acacia and mahogany forest, watching for buffalo, giraffe, impala, baboon and blue monkey, the tree-climbing lions, and in the right season flamingos along the shoreline. Picnic lunch, then on to Arusha by about 18:00. Breakfast and lunch included. Accommodation Planet Lodge.

Departure day
Depending on the flight schedule, an optional Arusha city tour and shopping before the transfer to the airport.
