Day 1
Arrival pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport
Met at Kilimanjaro Airport, briefed, and driven to Ilboru Safari Lodge on the lower slopes of Mount Meru.

Day 2
Transfer to Arusha National Park
About ninety minutes to Arusha National Park - Ngurdoto Crater, the crater lakes, black-and-white colobus, buffalo, elephant and zebra. Game drive in the morning, walking safari in the afternoon, then back to Ilboru Safari Lodge.

Day 3
Transfer to Lake Natron National Park
A rough road north past Maasai villages to Lake Natron - baboon, zebra and giraffe on the way, and the lake itself described as a paradise for birds. Overnight at Lake Natron Halisi Camp.

Day 4
Cultural Experience in Masai Land
A full day given over to visiting Maasai villages, interacting with the community, watching traditional dance and buying crafts.

Day 5
Transfer to Tarangire National Park
South to Tarangire, 120 km from Arusha. Game drive among the swamps, acacia woodland and baobabs. Overnight at Marombi on the shores of Lake Manyara.

Day 6
Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara, 126 km southwest of Arusha and 330 sq km in area, for game drives and time on the lake itself, with lion, leopard, elephant and flamingo.

Day 7
Transfer to Serengeti National Park
On to the Serengeti with a packed lunch and an afternoon game drive. The page gives the park as 14,750 sq km and the journey as 5-6 hours to the main gate. Overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Full day game drive in Serengeti
Morning and afternoon game drives across the park, with the migration a possibility depending on the time of year.

Day 9
Visit to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Into the conservation area with a packed lunch to see the crater lake and Olduvai Gorge. Overnight and dinner at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge on the crater rim.

Departure
A free morning at the lodge before the drive back to Arusha and the departure flight from Kilimanjaro Airport.
