Day 1
Arrival Day
Met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Mvuli Hotel in Arusha, at the foot of Mount Meru. Briefing from the safari manager. Dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
120 km, 2-3 hours excluding game viewing. North Highway through the Maasai steppe and local villages, with a supermarket stop before the park. Game drive in Tarangire, which Insight give as Tanzania's fifth largest park - elephant, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, warthog, hippo, plus greater kudu, fringe-eared oryx and ashy starling, and over 400 bird species. Overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn near Karatu.

Day 3
Tarangire - Serengeti National Park
145 km, 3-4 hours excluding game viewing. Through the Karatu highlands to the Ngorongoro gate and the crater viewpoint, then along the rim and down into the Serengeti. A Maasai village stop on the way, with a guided tour of the homes and the jumping dance. Check in at Naabi Hills gate, picnic lunch among the kopjes, and an afternoon game drive in the Seronera area on the Seronera River. Overnight at Serengeti Thorn Trees Camp, Central Serengeti.

Day 4
Full Day Exploring Serengeti National Park
Packed breakfast and lunch for a full day of game driving. Early start for the cats coming back from the night's hunting, bush breakfast, then on to wherever the migration is most active. Sunset on the way back to camp.

Day 5
Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
85 km, 2-3 hours excluding game viewing. En-route game drive to Naabi Hills gate, then the 600 m descent onto the Ngorongoro crater floor. Wildebeest, elephant, eland, zebra, hippo, warthog, buffalo and antelope, with rhino making a one-day Big Five realistic, plus Lake Magadi for flamingos. Overnight at Eileen's Trees Inn near Karatu.

Day 6
Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara - Arusha
175 km, 3-4 hours excluding game viewing. Game drive at Lake Manyara, a year-round green park of fig and mahogany forest fed by underground streams, known for tree-climbing lions and flamingos, with baboon, blue monkey and vervet among the primates. Optional Maasai market stop on the drive back to Arusha. Breakfast and lunch included.
